[ REVIEW ] PONY X MEMEBOX Shine Easy Glam 2 (renewal)

I've been a fan of Pony for almost a year now. She really inspires in every single tutorial she do. Her make-up always looks good. So when she released products in collaboration with MEMEBOX, i really wanted to get my hands on it but due to the difficulty of getting it here in Malaysia and the slightly higher price tag, this wish hasn't been coming true. Until recently, SHINE EASY GLAM came out in a new improved formula and new packaging. My birthday and wedding around the corner during that time so my besties decided to get it for me as a gift. Finally got to try the long anticipated palette. Mine was bought from HERMO.my.

Packaging is in black plastic. Wouldn't say a very classy/ special material packaging.

It comes in 8 shades as per the names above. 

Definitely more than enough to create a glamour night look

Rather than swatching it dark, i just rub gently on each pan and swatch it. As you can see the colour pigmentation is quite good as i use very small force to swatch it. The only downside is due to the high shimmery level of the lighter colours, you barely tell what colour is it as the shimmers are very distracting and in the end all you can see is just dust of shimmers.

Due to the time when i unbox, it is day time so i am unable to try it as a full make up. Hope i can update next time when i finally do. I don't think you can use it as a day palette as majority of the colours are highly shimmery. The only colours that are possibly usable for day, i would say only the neutral shades.

For the price of it, i'm not sure whether i would buy it. The palette is fairly decent but nothing too wow for the price tag it carries. Maybe i'm the type who prefer matte eyeshadows so when it turn out so glittery, i deduct some points there.

[ REVIEW ] Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack : Jeju Volcanic Clay Mask

NEW FOUND LOVE~

Innisfree capsule pack is not a new product. Previously i thought to myself why would i buy a travel size capsule pack that can't be sealed back if i can't finish it and that little of product. Well except if i have a certain product from Innisfree to try out or I'm travelling.

Anyway, due to some unforeseen circumstances the product i ordered from Althea is out of stock and they refunded me credits. I am the type that would never leave balance in my credits as I wouldn't know when is my next purchase. They refunded me 21 credits and so now I need to figure out how to fully use up the credits given.

The first item that i pick up is the Holika Holika Jewel Light Liner. I will do a review on this product in the future but anyway with balance of 5 credits i decided to pick up the capsule pack from Innisfree. Of course there were many types of capsule pack ; which not mistaken most of it have products in full size form. Since previously my friends gave good review for their clay mask, I decided to get that. Now it is totally my favourite mask.

The clay is even more fine than normal clay mask. It spreads smoothly and evenly onto skin. It does not have to be applied in a very thick layer. I moist my face a little before applying. Preferably to apply it on clean face. Leave it on for 15mins or so and rinse it off.

Apply some light moisturizer after that *optional*

Effect of the product

• Definitely skin is brighter after the mask session

• Pores are visibly smaller and when you touch your skin you can feel the difference

• Skin doesn't feel dry 

• Skin feels cool and calm

• Reduce redness drastically 

• Skin feels very fine and it is not just temporary effect

I couldn't say anything bad about the product. Maybe one little thing is the packaging. Although they design it to enable the lid to slightly tuck back in and close the capsule but it is definitely not enough to keep the product from being contaminated. 

For maximum hygiene, I think it would be best to transfer the product to an empty container until you finish it. A capsule is able to last for 4 times full face mask session. Always use a spatula or a tool to dig out the product. If you do not have a container at least try to tape the lid for extra protection.

[ FOOD ] KAI CURRY BAR

Food~ The word itself is just pure feeling of happiness. I mean who doesn't like food. Human are require to eat so that we stay alive but the evolution and revolution that originates from the purpose of filling our stomach is just something too awesome to happen. The use of flavours, cooking method, ingredients and many many many other varieties in preparing a dish is just something i really enjoy watching and understanding.

I wouldn't say i'm a food hunter but i do feel very happy when i get to eat something special once in a while. The shop below serves variety of Japanese curry dish. Immediately my choice was the one with the patty. I just got a thing for meatloaf meatballs and stuff.

Located at Jalan Puah Hin Leong, Georgetown, Penang.

The area is really beautiful as there are stretches of heritage houses 

and each of them are special on its own way.

Starter/ Appetizer

This is really good. The flavour is cold and fresh despite being a mashed up 

potato mixture with vegetables. You won't feel it being heavy for a start.

Pork Hamburg Curry 

The pork is very soft and juicy. Overall the dish is very gentle in flavour 

but not bland at all. I really enjoy it. 

Nothing too fancy but still leaves an impression. 

Hubby ordered this Salmon Croquette version which i think 

still fares lower than the pork hamburg. 

Nevertheless, it is still quite a tasty dish but would definitely 

recommend the Pork Hamburg instead.

After a day of good food, walking down a beautiful street, everything is just peaceful, serene and happy. What more to ask for.

[ REVIEW ] THE SAEM Natural Condition Cleansing Foam Soy Bean Extract

Got this as a souvenir from my friends who went Korea. It's from a rising brand call 'THE SAEM'. Their products are fairly cheap with decent enough quality. I would say on par with Tony Moly but less fancy. Previously i tried out their concealer which didn't worked out for me as it is very patchy when i apply under my eyes. This time will be this cleanser which i think is quite decent. The texture is quite similar to my Nature Republic Aloe Vera cleanser.

Overall it's a decent cleanser. I haven't use it frequent enough to tell the good and bad about it. It doesn't dry off my skin, slightly hydrating and does the job. So i guess for those who are interested can try out. I think the price is quite cheap approx RM20+- and you get a very big tube of product.

[ REVIEW ] CLIO Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel Liner

My besties went to Korea recently and i told them to get me this product if possible cause it is on my must have list and here it is. Pricing at 12,000 won which is about RM45. I got it in a dark brown shade as somehow, i hated black liner now. Always try to go for a natural look.

Awesomeness

• Great colour payoff
• Colour is solid and consistent 
• Very long lasting and waterproof as it claims

Not so awesome

• Slightly on the pricier side

It is now my most used eyeliner. Heard that it lasts quite some time. Nothing to complain about it. Looking forward to get other colours as i heard it is equally good.

[ REVIEW ] Nature Republic Fresh Green Tea Emulsion

Skin been feeling dry lately as I'm out of my moisturizer and i just couldn't decide on which to buy to replace my old one. So recently, during Althea event i managed to get my hands on this budget product (RM34 for 180ml). I use it during my day routine after my toner. Do feel that the skin is softer after application.

Awesomeness

• Moisturize skin
• Doesn't break out sensitive skin 
• Lightweight consistency 

Not so awesome

• Slight greasiness after application, after fully absorb then it is fine.
• Doesn't make big improvement to skin, only when apply.
• A lot of people complain about the packaging. As my bottle is still new so product came out easily but i think will have some problem when less product is left inside.

Overall, the product does what it says. I wouldn't say i love it so much but definitely not one that i dislike. Will continue to use and see whether there are more surprises or any significant changes to skin condition.

[ REVIEW ] the SAEM Cover Perfection Tip Concealer

Been using my Maybeline PURE COVER Mineral concealer. It does quite a decent job but been wanting to try out something new esp. a Korean brand because I'm all over them now and with quality their price are more affordable compared to those High-End brands from US. Previously as i mentioned, i got 30 credits from Althea as a gift so finally i decided to try out the SAEM Cover Perfection Tip Concealer which i bought it for RM34.

Awesomeness

• Smells really good for a concealer
• Does quite a decent job
• Need tiny amount of product for normal coverage
• Texture is creamy and light

Not so awesome

• No, it still can't cover my severe dark circles unless to put a thick layer of product on top, which i dislike cause it will very cakey
• A bit on the pricier side if you would compare it to drugstore concealer
• Only can be bought online
• Slightly easier to caught on fine lines and look cakey compared to the Maybeline one.

I think overall it did quite a decent job, my dark circles are very dark so it is acceptable to me that it didn't manage to cover 100%. However with this price, you can always get the Maybeline that works the same unless you want a brighter shade. For me, i would not repurchase.

[ REVIEW ] ALTHEA ONLINE STORE

Finally tried out Althea when i have enough things to buy and the gift of 30 credits during their event. My items arrived within a week. I must say that I'm very impressed with their service and esp their presentation and packaging. Definitely make you feel like you receive a present. Their price are also the cheapest I've encounter, maybe due to direct shipping from Korea where the items are originally much cheaper and they do not have to stock up in Malaysia and include initial shipping cost into their price. I must say when you wanted to buy 4-5 items and above, Althea definitely is the place to go for as with RM150 purchase, the shipping is free.

[ REVIEW ] INNISFREE No-Sebum Mineral Powder

Wanted to do a brief review about this product that I have used for several months now.
It is the Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder (24M), selling for RM20-RM27 on online stores. The product comes with a small puff but i do not recommend to use it if you have a brush as the puff collects your foundation after a few use and bacteria might breed easily on the surface. Anyhow the puff feels very soft on the skin and definitely pleasant to use if you are without your brush.

Puff already look a tac brownish due to foundation transfer

Awesomeness

• Not pricey
• Smells really nice but not too strong
• Convenient for travel

Not so awesome

• Minimal control of sebum ( sweat still seeps through after application ), I live in Malaysia so the weather is super hot, this product might not be able to do the job in extremely hot countries
• Not suitable for regular make-up user as the product won't last very long with its tiny packaging though you do not need much to set your make up.

I love this powder when i needed something small to bring out. It is light and doesn't take up space but if you want something that sets your makeup daily and control sebum very very well then this is not the product for you.

[ REVIEW ] DAISO CHARCOAL BLACK HEADS PEEL OFF MASK

Daiso product are the cheapest at its range and although I'm a bit hesitant to try out something that you use on your skin, decided to go for it as I've heard reviews that it worked out quite fine and worth the price. Most importantly, up till now no cases of damage done to the skin or whatsoever so .. here's my experience below.

Directions

• Extract a certain amount of product onto your finger. (depends on how big the area you would like to cover.
• Apply it on bare face (before cleansing) and spread it out thick and even. (a little tricky here)
• Wait for 10-15mins till the product hardens and dried totally.
• Peel it off upwards.
• Rinse off leftovers of product on face.

Awesomeness

• SUPER CHEAP
• Does not cause any damage to skin or break outs
• No strong smell
• Effectiveness - 5/10, acceptable for the price 

Not so awesome

• Cannot remove most of the stubborn black heads
• Quite tricky to spread it out thick and even as the spot that you have already apply will stick onto your fingers when you go over it second/multiple time.
• Remember to apply some tightening pore toner after application as it somehow feels very cloggy the next day.

Well its a fun product to try out but definitely not a very effective product. For its price tag its quite expected. Something i realised is that it removes fine hair more effectively than black heads. HAHAHA at least some good point.

[ REVIEW ] INNISFREE Creammellow Lipstick #3

Been craving almost all Innisfree products since watching Pony's Beauty Diary, the famous Korean fashion and beauty guru / makeup artist. Decided to try this Innisfree Creammellow Lipstick when there's a sale at Hermo - the online beauty product store. I got it for RM36.90 during their sale but normal usual price they are selling is RM49.90. Good News as Althea is selling for RM33.00 in conjunction for their opening so grab it while it lasts.

Awesomeness

• They have really pretty shade selection and most of the colour suits asian skin 
• Smell is acceptable - hint of floral fragrance
• Does feel creamy & moisturize upon application

Not so awesome

• A bit on the pricey side if not on sales.
• After an hour or two, lips starts to dried out so better to put a layer of balm before application esp for really dried out lips
• Poor staying power as it is creamy 
• Colour is quite sheer - slightly buildable 

Overall, I have mixed feelings for this lip product. If you wanted something not too heavy and just wanna add some natural colour to your lips this would be it but if you wanted something really bold and pigmented, I would suggest to skip this product.

[REVIEW] NATURE REPUBLIC Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera Foam Cleanser 150ml

Got this during Hermo Anniversary Sale for RM18. They sell it for RM21 currently. Bought this as a spare at my other house and since for the price, it's quite a bargain for Korean brand.

Directions

• Lather bean size product into a slight foamy substance.
• Apply it on damp face and wash like a normal cleanser
• Rinse off with water.

Awesomeness

• You just need a tiny bit of product to have your face covered
• Does not irritate skin or breaks you out
• Smells quite fresh and nice
• Slight moisturizing effect - skin does feel a hint softer 

Not so awesome

• Does not moisturize as much as expected - skin does feel a bit squeaky after a while
• I'm not sure its just me or -- even after rinse off, does feel like a layer of product is left on the skin, or maybe it is just the 'moisturizing' effect but doesn't bother much

I do recommend this if you wanna try out some korean skin care brand but are concern due to the pricier side of most of the products. Overall it is a satisfactory product.
